This is a review after quick zygoma reduction surgery in 2016. For me, rather than my frontal cheekbones, my cheekbones looked large when viewed from a 45-degree angle, and I felt that it gave me an unsophisticated image, so I wanted a more refined facial contour. At the time, I used about 3 days of annual leave and had quick zygoma reduction surgery while working.
When I had the consultation, of course I expected there would be some exaggeration, but that hospital said I could return to daily life right away after just recovering over the weekend, and in response to my request that I wanted to improve the 45-degree cheekbones more than the side cheekbones, they confidently said I would be completely satisfied and become prettier after surgery.
I had gone after reading many reviews online, and although the hospital was not extremely well-known, there were many very positive reviews on several communities, and when I search now, there are also many positive posts in a community haha
To tell you the conclusion about the surgical result, I am about 20% satisfied.
The reasons for the 80% dissatisfaction are: 1. Most importantly, there was no improvement in the 45-degree cheekbones I wanted. (I am carefully considering revision surgery.) 2. They said the scar from the incision hole in the cheek would disappear within 6 months after surgery, but now, 4 years after the surgery, I can still see the scar and the depressed scar when I make facial expressions. 3. CT scans were not done before and after surgery, and the procedure was performed based on the doctor’s intuition, so it is difficult to objectively assess my condition. 4. In conclusion, because there was almost no improvement effect on the 45-degree cheekbones, I am considering revision surgery, so my dissatisfaction percentage is high.
However, although my side cheekbones were not large from the front, when comparing before-and-after surgical photos, it seems there was an improvement effect in reducing the side cheekbones, and because I did not have side effects such as cheek sagging or pain, I am 20% satisfied.
