I first had a consultation with the doctor, then with the manager. The doctor was incredibly passionate and gave very specific consultations. The manager was a nurse who actually goes into the operating room, which I liked. The doctor was very firm about saying no when something couldn’t be done, so the cost ended up much higher than I had originally planned for the nose surgery. I had planned on osteotomy and a tip surgery without an implant, but things kept adding up. They also said the state of the septum would only be known after opening the nose, and that cost might go up if autologous costal cartilage was needed. If I use autologous costal cartilage, it adds another 2.5 million won, so even though this would be my first surgery, it would cost 7 million won. There was no pressure to pay a deposit or any discount push, but the cost is what I’m worrying about most.
