One-Month Review After Hump Nose Surgery

Before before after after after after after Hello! I’m so, so satisfied after my nose surgery at Oblie Plastic Surgery, so I’m writing a detailed review to help anyone looking around for nose surgery consultations~

My nose had a severe hump, and it wasn’t that I had no nasal bridge, but for a long time people often told me I would look really pretty if I just did my nose. I also had a complex because every time I took photos, I only edited my nose, so I had always thought I would definitely get nose surgery someday.

I live in the Gyeongnam area, but I thought surgery would probably be best done by someone who has done it many times, so I decided to have surgery in the Seoul metropolitan area. I visited Seoul twice in total and went to about six places for consultations + one in Busan.

I also read so many reviews about the risks and side effects of nose surgery, and since I’m timid and cautious by nature, it took me a full year just to visit clinics, think it over, and decide on a hospital... (the first consultation was in May 2022)

But I really felt that you have to visit several hospitals because even after waiting months for a consultation at hospitals with long waitlists, I still didn’t feel certain. But as soon as I went to Oblie Plastic Surgery and consulted with Director Kim Da-alm, I thought, I should do it here. So I canceled the deposit I had placed at another plastic surgery clinic and set a date at Oblie.

What I liked about Oblie was, first of all, it is right in front of Exit 12 of Gangnam Station, so the location and accessibility were great. The clinic was clean, and most of all, I think I was drawn to Director Kim Da-alm because he was kind in a way that was neither excessive nor lacking.

After looking at my nose and the image I wanted, he calmly explained what surgery would be needed and what kind of result would come out. His voice carried confidence, so I felt I could trust him.

I was someone who studied hard about the surgery beforehand, but of course I can’t know as much as the people who actually perform surgery, right? For example, my nose is somewhat large for my face, and he explained that if the nasal tip is raised too much, my nose could look even bigger, and then even if it were high, it would not be a pretty nose. In areas like that, I felt he was working with me to decide what direction would give my nose the best result, so I chose Oblie.

Aside from emotional reasons, Oblie was the only place that suggested a surgical method that could make the hump straight without shaving down the bone. At other places, I had been recommended autologous costal cartilage and donated rib cartilage, but at Oblie they diagnosed that septal cartilage and ear cartilage would be enough, so I also thought it was the most reasonable.

So I proceeded with nose surgery using septal cartilage and ear cartilage, and now it has been about one month since surgery!

I went to surgery without a guardian, but the managers took such kind care of me that I wasn’t scared. The surgery itself really did not hurt at a~~ll, amazingly!! There’s no helping that breathing is difficult while the nasal cotton is in ㅠ

I think the nasal congestion lasted about a week after surgery. This part was the hardest ㅠㅎㅎ Even after the splint was removed, the nasal line was hard to see because of swelling, but they had taken photos right after surgery and explained what kind of nose would come out and how the surgical result was, so I felt reassured. Even after the splint came off, my swelling was severe and I couldn’t see my nose properly, but they told me it was because of swelling, and they also added laser treatment, which was nice. It really was because of swelling!!

From the second week after surgery, I was able to return completely to daily life. Everyone I know said only the flaws had naturally disappeared and that it turned out so well (even though I was still very swollen). Even to me, my recovery was so fast that it felt amazing and good ㅎㅎ

Until the one-month mark, I was extremely careful with no drinking and no exercise. Until week two, I slept at an angle, and then little by little I started lying on my back to sleep.

I went for my one-month checkup, and they pleasantly told me that I had healed very well, the ear healed without deformity, and that a little more swelling would go down, so I left the clinic feeling very happy too ㅎㅎ

After one month, I started drinking a little bit of alcohol, and so far my nose has never hurt and I have had no side effects! At first, I could clearly feel the foreign-body sensation of the implant, but now it feels like it is gradually settling in, which is fascinating. ㅎㅎ

And this is a little bit of bragging, but people who see me for the first time think it’s just my original nose. It’s only been one monthㅋㅋㅋㅋ It’s not that I’m embarrassed about having surgery, but that’s how well it suits my face. They made my nose look natural yet pretty. Seriously, every time I take a photo, I think 50 times a day that I’m glad I had the surgery ㅠ Thank you, Director Kim Da-alm...

Of course, the hospital and doctor I chose may not be right for everyone, but just as I found Oblie while researching online and ended up finishing surgery very satisfied, if you are considering nose surgery, I hope you will definitely try getting a consultation at Oblie at least once!
