Eye Surgery Considerations@eye-think

Noselab review in this community

They do provide a professional consultation. I went for a consultation because I had surgery with septal cartilage 14 years ago, and I wanted both septal deviation correction (functional) and improvement of a bulbous nose and nasal bridge (cosmetic). They concluded that the septal deviation would be addressed with septal reconstruction (considering it may already be weakened from prior septal cartilage use), and for the nasal bridge, the direction would be to remove the current silicone and insert a different silicone + use autologous costal cartilage. When I said I was scared of using autologous costal cartilage, they said something like athletes also use autologous costal cartilage for surgery(?).. They seemed to have expertise, but it didn’t feel friendly. I was most worried about surgical side effects, so I asked about that first, but they only told me general side effects (inflammation, etc.), so I didn’t like that. After coming home and looking up septal reconstruction, there were critical side effects they had not mentioned, such as risk of perforation / after reconstruction, the nose can become excessively dry because autologous costal cartilage is too stiff / even if septal deviation is treated, there may effectively be no improvement in rhinitis, etc. In conclusion, it was too expensive (16.6 million won..) + not particularly friendly + the consultant was also unfriendly (when she asked how I found them and I said I came after searching, she said something like, “Oh, you need to study more,” ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ)
