Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

Review: first eye, nose, forehead, and facial-contouring surgery, 10 months in!

I had surgery at Batang Plastic Surgery on January 8 this year, and it’s already been over nine months, haha. I can’t believe I’ll soon be at ten months; time really flies, lol. I had my eyes, nose, forehead reduction, forehead lift, and facial contouring all done together as first-time procedures. Honestly, at first my face was so swollen that I looked like a monster, and I wondered if I had made a mistake, T_T. The question I heard most after surgery was how painful it was to have so much done at once. Rather than one particular area hurting terribly, it was just difficult overall, lol. You can assume you won’t be able to do anything from the first day through day three. The forehead reduction and lift gave me a terrible headache on the first day. My nose felt blocked and it was hard to breathe, T_T, while my eyes felt less uncomfortable than expected. With facial contouring, more than pain, the swelling and the feeling that my face had become stiff and was being pulled downward were the hardest parts. Eating was difficult too, but I stubbornly ate everything I was supposed to, and even the director said I was impressive, hahaha. The swelling went down a lot from week two, then plateaued a little at one to two months. At three months I thought all the swelling was gone, but looking at my photos now, I realized quite a bit of residual swelling remained. Around six months, it felt like the fullness in my face was settling into place, and it continued to look more natural afterward. My boyfriend said each time he saw me that I looked different again, lol. Now all sensation has returned, and I can easily fit four upright fingers in my mouth!! I eat chewy, hard foods such as cartilage, chicken feet, and intestines, and even crunch the ice in my iced Americano, lol. People around me even ask if I’m okay, but now I don’t feel anything unusual, haha. Maybe because I had facial contouring and forehead reduction together, my face feels more than half as small as before, T_T. I used to reduce my face first whenever I took photos, but these days I like how I look even without editing!! Now that my face shape has changed, my eyes and nose also seem prettier, but I especially love my nose every time I look at it. It used to have a blunt tip and look wide like a bulbous nose, but now it looks slim from the front and naturally higher from the side too, haha. Recently someone even told me I resemble Wonyoung for one second, so these days I’m copying her makeup style too, hahaha. My double-eyelid line used to break in several places, but now it has settled into a completely clear line!! I honestly thought under-eye fat repositioning would not make much difference, but I never expected it to change this much. So I wear lighter eye makeup than before, haha. I reduced my forehead by 2 cm and had a 5 mm lift. I used to wear bangs and fill in my hairline to hide my broad forehead, but now I think I look prettier with it exposed, so I always sweep my hair back, lol. Honestly, since I had surgery on almost everything except my lips, it can’t be completely undetectable, but I love that it settled into the natural look I like without becoming excessive like the old Gangnam-beauty style, T_T. During the consultation, the director even tried to talk me out of some procedures, but I still have no regrets. New friends say I look more natural and prettier, and after more than nine months, it simply feels like my own face, haha. I had everything done at once at [Clinic B], and the early period was genuinely tough, but now I’m living very happily and satisfied, lol.
