Nose Surgery Reviews

My second revision rhinoplasty with autologous costal cartilage—I’m finally truly satisfied

I’m on my Nth nose surgery. First, I had surgery on the nasal tip—there was no change. Second, I had revision rhinoplasty—the nose looked long and droopy, making the midface look longer, while only the tip was high, which looked unnatural. When I smiled, it looked too much like a witch’s nose. I was under enormous stress, but after having rhinoplasty several times, I hesitated a lot over whether to undergo another revision. I needed time, and of course there was the cost, but I was also very anxious about whether I would be satisfied this time and what I would do if it failed again. After agonizing over it, an acquaintance had revision rhinoplasty at Lowell and came back looking so beautiful. Even though it was a revision, they proceeded without unnecessary additions, so I had a consultation and immediately booked Lowell. I had planned to visit other clinics, but I canceled them... (I’m sorry, it couldn’t be helped T_T.) I felt completely confident, and Dr. Jaeyoon Kim at Lowell Plastic Surgery seemed so meticulous and confident that I chose a date and went ahead right away. I was extremely nervous on the day of surgery T_T. I tremblingly told Dr. Kim that I really wanted this to be the last time I lay down for surgery and that I wanted to stop opening my nose 🥹. We discussed my desired nose shape one more time, designed it, and proceeded with surgery! But what is going on with this place—the information desk staff, the sweet doctor, and the kindness of the operating-room staff? They spoke warmly to me before surgery when I was nervous, and although I normally always bruise when the lines are marked, I didn’t bruise at all..!!! The skill too. You might be suspicious at this point, but it’s true.. 100% paid for myself 🥹. The next day I had the nasal packing removed, received an injection, and went in for treatment. As expected, the sweet Dr. Kim personally checked my progress and treated me. I learned a lot from the kindness of the staff who worked even during the holiday...🩷. Even with the splint on, the angle was artistic, so I lived without worry! I had costal cartilage harvested, and since this was my second time having autologous costal cartilage harvested, I have a basis for comparison. At another clinic the first time, I was in so much pain that I couldn’t get up. But this time, I drove myself the next day to have the nasal packing removed. It only felt like muscle soreness? It hurt so little compared with before that I felt slightly resentful, but also grateful... Even though there is still swelling now that the splint is off, those who have undergone surgery several times will understand. I’m completely satisfied with the line! I have none of the side effects of being unable to breathe, having a runny nose, or asymmetry. The doctor also checked so meticulously whether I could breathe and whether anything was uncomfortable that even a worrywart like me was able to live without concern. I’m so, so, so glad I did it and I’m very satisfied. Oh! There is one side effect. I keep eyeing the possibility of getting something else fixed at Lowell... That’s how happy I am to have found Lowell! Thank you so much, doctor, and thank you to all the information-desk staff, consultation manager, and operating-room staff who treated me so kindly 🥰
