I had a typical bulbous nose, with a nasal bridge that was decent enough, and nostrils that were harmoniously large. I didn’t need anything else and just wanted to reduce the width of my nose, so I had consultations at two clinics, decided on Seoul Queen, had surgery on April 30, and got my stitches removed yesterday. I’m satisfied with the result. My columella was originally a little crooked, so my nostril wings were asymmetrical left and right and my nostrils were uneven too, but the director noticed that and made the incisions with a bit of difference on each side, so it’s much better than before surgery. On the first day, after the anesthesia wore off, there was bleeding from the sutured area, and it was really swollen and painful, but from the second day onward it didn’t hurt, and the swelling gradually went down. There are still line marks from the scar, but the location isn’t particularly noticeable, so it doesn’t bother me. They say alar reduction is a surgery with a lot of self-satisfaction involved, and I think that’s true. If I don’t mention it, other people don’t really notice, and I’m the only one who feels the difference strongly haha. Also, I think people with thinner skin/flesh around the nostril wings get better results after surgery than people with a lot of flesh there. I’m in the former group, but they reduced it moderately to suit my face, so I’m even more satisfied. If they had reduced it a lot, I think I would have regretted it badly.
