1. ㅂㅇ -ㅊㅇㄱ Director, Gangnam Station At first, I was a bit surprised because the director looked so young when I met him/her. He/she looked more like someone in the mid-30s rather than the 40s, and seemed to take very good care of himself/herself (I personally think a plastic surgeon's appearance matters too). He/she wasn't the type to proactively make suggestions; it was more like, this would improve to about this extent. Felt a little perfunctory, maybe? He/she did emphasize that there would be no compression band and no hospitalization. At first that sounds impressive, but in fact it varies from person to person... so it's not that extraordinary. Anyway, it wasn't a consultation with CT imaging, and it didn't feel especially specialized. But the head coordinator here was unbelievably kind. I remember she was Chinese, and she said she had also gotten facial contouring and breast surgery here, and she let me actually touch everything.. That was really the first time I've ever kneaded someone else's breasts like that.. Anyway, the coordinator has been here for over 5 years for facial contouring, and there wasn't anything that looked especially saggy, so again I thought sagging really does vary by person. Also, the consultation coordinator showed me someone who had come in next door for a follow-up visit (10 days after facial contouring surgery). That person had almost no swelling at all and was very pretty, so I was a little tempted. If I went in for a consultation and the person next to me seemed like they had undergone facial contouring, then I'd go straight to that person and recommend asking them for a real buyer(?) review! A review from someone who actually had the surgery at that hospital is very important, and I think actually seeing the swelling and the line is extremely helpful.
2. ㅁㅇㄷㅇ -ㅅㅂㅅ Director, Gangnam Station Consultation fee: 50,000 won; if you want the CT file, you need to pay an extra 50,000 won. First of all, this is someone with a lot of ego. That said, he wasn't the warm, nurturing type. He said he himself would decide which area to osteotomize and how much could be shaved down, so it felt like, trust me and follow along? The consultation was long, but I didn't really feel like I gained much from it. There wasn't any pressure to leave a deposit or anything like that, and the coordinators were pretty, so I think many people would be tempted(?) Both the coordinators and the director made a girl like me, a total loner and outsider, feel a little intimidated... sob
3. ㅅㅇㅅ - ㅂㅈㄱ Director Consultation fee: 50,000 won. First of all, I absolutely recommend consulting with this director. Even if you don't get surgery here, you should at least go for a consultation. He was almost the only one who immediately understood my problem. I recommend reading a lot of the blog posts first. He has a strong aesthetic sense, so he used a measuring tape to match the proportions of my face length to my height/weight. I had never once thought of myself as having a receding chin, but he immediately identified the issue, and even discouraged overly aggressive surgery. I thought that if I just shaved my cheekbones and square jaw, I would become sharp and slim like an Instagram influencer, but instead he pointed out other issues and broadened my perspective. I was often told things like, "Are you angry when you're expressionless?" "Why do you look so sulky?" "Are you in a bad mood?" He said it was all because of my chin. He said my chin made my impression look old-fashioned, made my buccal fat pads look prominent, made me look puffy, and made me look harsh, and he got everything right like some kind of fortune teller, so it was chilling But the surgery cost was too high, so I don't think I'll do it here. Still, I gained a lot from the consultation, so I was very satisfied, and the coordinators were very cool about it too - like, do it if you want, don't if you don't. Very chill~ But on sagging, he was so certain there would be absolutely no sagging, 100%, that this part was actually a minus for me. Still, I don't think this is really a side effect; it's truly a complex issue of skin quality, age-related elasticity, dieting, and everything combined.
4. ㅅㄷ - ㄱㅈㅎ Director No consultation fee. First of all, this director is so kind. He listened kindly to everything I said, one by one, and had absolutely no bragging attitude. He was extremely gentlemanly. At this place, instead of wanting surgery... I found myself wanting to date him He seems relatively young, but he has a huge amount of surgical experience, so I thought his hand skills would be good. The price was a bit cheaper compared with other places. He honestly said what couldn't be done couldn't be done, and he seemed confident about what could be done. Personally, because I had seen reviews from someone who was more than 10 years out from facial contouring, I had also been considering the facial liposuction that person recommended, and he explained that in detail here. The coordinators also didn't pressure me to book; if you want to do it, do it. There was also a review event.
5. ㄱㄹㅎ - ㅂㄴㅎ Director Consultation fee: 20,000 won. First of all, the coordinator has been with the hospital for a very long time, and I think that kind of tenure is quite important too. If many patients with complications keep coming in, the length of time someone can stay at one hospital naturally gets shorter. And what does that mean? - There are bound to be fewer complaints. In fact, when I asked about the coordinator's tenure and honestly mentioned that point, she agreed, saying she hadn't thought about it but that it could definitely be true. She said she hadn't really been troubled by patients who came looking for help because of complications while working at this hospital. Well, maybe the coordinator just has a steel mental attitude~ Anyway, I wrote this down so you could think about that issue too. When I met the director, he also pointed out the exact problem in my chin area that other hospitals had not caught. He actually said I might not need square jaw surgery at all. He said that if I insisted on getting square jaw surgery, he absolutely would not resect much. He would only make a slight improvement. Other hospital directors said that because my nerve line is high, they could resect a lot, and one hospital was even trying to resect it almost to the point of a cut jaw, but this director here seemed to make naturalness the top priority. So I think that was why I saw some people being dissatisfied because the improvement effect was minor. But I can also fully understand how those people feel. If you've spent around ten million won on surgery and, at most, it only seems slightly better than before, and there doesn't seem to be any dramatic change? If it were me, I think that would be extremely, extremely, extremely stressful too. But the director also seemed to consider future aging over time and think about how to make someone as naturally beautiful as possible. So this really seems to be a matter of personal choice. If I want a dramatic change right now? Then going to a place that gives doll-like lines would be the right choice, which he stated very plainly. That made me think a lot too. Anyway, the director's explanations were very thorough, and this is one of the few places where the consultation fee doesn't feel wasted, along with ㅅㅇㅅ. If I do end up getting it done, I think I would probably do it here. There are no review events at all, and no discounts for putting down a deposit on the day or anything like that; in fact, patients tend to come here asking to be accepted for booking. There are absolutely no events on cafes or apps like ㄱㄴㅇㄴ, ㅂㅂㅌ, ㅇㅇㅇ, and no discounts whatsoever. It's completely fixed-price.
6. ㅇㄹ - ㅇㅍㅈ Yeoksam This hospital just feels like the textbook example of a large hospital. Total chaos, straight-up market frenzy. The coordinators also seemed frantic, just the stereotypical big hospital. I expected that they would shave the cheekbones a lot, shave the square jaw a lot, and advance the chin / that the before-and-after would be dramatic. And since they're doing the 3-procedure package, the price merit is insane, probably because this hospital is known for being budget-friendly; maybe it's close to half the price of other expensive hospitals? There was a bit of pressure to leave a deposit, but I guess other places do that too, so it's not especially bad. I've seen quite a few people who went here for the value and were unexpectedly satisfied. If you want dramatic changes + good value, I don't think it would be bad to go in for a consultation once.
That's how I felt after going around to these consultations, and honestly, I still don't know. I still have about 5 more places left, but I really don't know./.... The remaining places are ㅌㅋ / ㄴㅈㅎ / ㅇㅊ / ㅇㅍㅅㅌ / ㅅㅅㅇ, and honestly, I really don't know Going to consultations after work on weekdays + on weekends is so draining, and every time I read each review, it's exhausting, but I still want to become prettier.. Anyway, everyone, take your time and decide well / don't be swayed by my post, and make sure you set your own clear 기준. Read lots of reviews on YouTube, blogs, and review posts before deciding.
