When I first got plastic surgery, I had epicanthoplasty done (right after I turned twenty... it has been over 30 years now..) Back then, I had the simple mindset of thinking that if you got plastic surgery, you would automatically become prettier. An older acquaintance said she had hers done at MG, and I heard they seemed good, so I just went there, had a consultation with the doctor the consultation manager sent me to, and got hooked by the doctor's smooth talk (he told me I had an impression that put me at a disadvantage in interpersonal relationships;), so I made a reservation and got on the operating table. I don't know if they didn't use anesthesia or what, but I remember it hurting so much that I cried. Unlike the excitement I felt after my first surgery, the reactions around me after surgery were all not good. At first I thought it must be because of swelling, but that wasn't it. A lot of my lacrimal caruncle showed, I looked harsh and older. I guess if epicanthoplasty is done badly, it can make you look that way. People said I regretted getting my eyes done so, so much, and that I had ruined those pretty eyes. It turned out that the doctor who operated on that older acquaintance and the doctor who operated on me were different. There were two doctors specializing in eyes at that hospital, and I guess the doctor who operated on her was the famous one. Anyway, the person who operated on me just sounded nice and seemed like a fraud.. My mom saw me for the first time in a while, looked at my eyes, and just cried ㅠ It was that bad, and because of my eyes, I had depression for a while and really suffered a lot for some time. I had epicanthoplasty reconstruction (I later found out the doctor at the hospital where I had reconstruction was supposedly not a specialist either), then I went to another hospital and they said my eyes looked far apart like a turtle's, so I had them opened slightly again.. Even now, the inner corners of my eyes are wrinkled and battered, and I don't like my double eyelid line either.. Looking at old photos, I honestly just want to go back to my eyes before surgery.. Back then I had a pure kind of look, but now when I meet classmates, they say they can feel stress and anger in my face, and I think that is because of my eyes.. Now I am thinking about eye revision surgery again.. Everyone, if you are thinking about eye surgery, especially if you are considering epicanthoplasty, please think carefully and then think carefully again. If epicanthoplasty goes wrong, your impression completely changes. It ruins your face. Please research hospitals carefully before doing it. If you meet the wrong doctor, you're screwedㅠ Even now, the surgical scars from back then and the reconstruction scars are still there, so they bother me ㅠ Anyway, the conclusion is that whatever surgery you get, the patient also needs to have knowledge about the surgery and research well before going, otherwise I think you can only get taken in. Surgery costs are not just a small amount, and if one surgery fails, you end up spending several million won.. So these days I have been browsing this community and looking at the Gangnam Unni app too. Next time I have surgery, I really hope I make a good choice.
