Contour surgery

It’s been almost a year since the surgery

I had all three contouring procedures: cheekbones + square jaw + chin

For the chin surgery, I think there were two methods: 1. a long incision starting from the square jaw, 2. T-osteotomy. The doctor recommended the T-osteotomy. The reason was that T-osteotomy can bring in a slightly protruding chin, and there would be no extra cost. But I was too scared of T-osteotomy, so when I asked the doctor whether I really had to do it, they said the degree of chin protrusion wasn’t severe and it was fine not to do T-osteotomy, so I decided on method 1. (Of course, bringing the chin in a little does make it look a bit better.)

1. First, the effect It is definitely better than before, but don’t expect a dramatic, complete transformation!!! I can’t say I became unbelievably pretty or anything like that. It feels a bit like a Photoshop effect. People who see me after a long time just ask if I lost weight.

2. Concerns

1) Cheek sagging It’s there. It’s not so severe that I’d cry, but it’s at the level of, “Ah, so this is cheek sagging. There really is some.” I think a lifting procedure + liposuction of the fat attached to the bone that was removed is necessary after contour surgery.

2) The philtrum looks longer. I don’t know the exact reason. Maybe because the cheekbones were shaved down and the skin sagged...

* If sagging is the cause, I’m thinking about looking into a lifting procedure.

3) Sensation in the lower jaw area It has returned a lot compared with right after surgery, but if something touches my chin I still can’t tell.

3) Lower teeth showing - this is what worries me a bit!! Right after the surgery, I couldn’t close my lower lip at all and my lower teeth were forcibly exposed. If I tried to close it by force, I got a walnut chin... Because the lower lip was pulled down, to close my mouth the upper lip also had to come down, so the philtrum looked even longer. Since it was the early stage after surgery, I just tried to accept it.

Now it is better than at first, but my mouth still does not close naturally and I have to use force to close it.

* After looking into it in my own way, I heard the reason is that the muscles in the lower jaw area were sutured incorrectly, so I’m planning to look for a clinic that can correct it. Does anyone have symptoms similar to mine?
