Last Friday, I had facial contouring surgery (cheekbones, square jaw, anterior chin, chin advancement-T osteotomy). From days 1 to 3, I had no energy and struggled because of throat pain, but starting on day 4, as sensation began returning around my jaw, the pain from my lower jaw down to my lower teeth became so severe that I can’t function in daily life. During the consultation at the clinic, they clearly said I would be able to return to daily life in 2 to 3 days, that postoperative pain would not be severe, and they never even mentioned that tooth pain could occur. Daily life? It’s not intermittent pain. It’s pain 24 hours a day, actually getting worse and worse, so I can’t even sleepㅠㅠ It’s honestly so hard. If I had known it would hurt this much, I never would have had this surgery, and I regret it so much.
I went to the clinic today and was going to confront the doctor, but they said the doctor’s schedule didn’t work and that I would have to wait a long time to see the director in charge, so they sent me away for now. They also said the teeth can hurt because of swelling in the lower jaw, but the swelling is gradually going down while the pain is getting worse and worse, which doesn’t make sense to me.
Of course I took the medication prescribed by the clinic, and I also bought additional painkillers and took them, but they had no effect at all. The tooth pain is so terrible it’s unbearableㅜ No matter how many reviews I search, I haven’t seen anyone complain of lower tooth pain from facial contouring. Right now the front of my lower teeth feels like the anesthesia hasn’t fully worn off, but the throbbing from the roots to the tips of the teeth is extremely severe.. I want to turn back time.
