I went to Sain for a consultation. While talking face-to-face with Director Hwang, I could feel that he has a very firm personal philosophy. I had decided to get plastic surgery and had listened to all kinds of people in the community, but everything was pointless, and after hearing the director’s explanation, I properly learned from an academic perspective what kind of surgery would be done on my face and came away reflecting on it.
That’s probably why I trusted him even more. My nose is short with columella hanging into it, which every hospital recommended. He said there was no need for dorsal hump reduction, osteotomy, donor rib, or silicone, and that what mattered was managing the shadowed areas for a visible effect. What use is just making it higher, and he was confident that even without doing such risky surgery, there was still a high enough chance of improvement.
I’m still deciding between other hospitals, but if the dates work out, I think I’ll choose Director Hwang.
