Haneul Review

I visited Haneul because of the epicanthal folds that had been bothering me a few years after double eyelid surgery. Honestly, it was almost about 9-10 years ago, so I don’t remember the doctor from back then. Recently, when I went to Haneul for a nose consultation, I asked them to find that doctor, but they said they don’t have records from about 10 years ago Anyway, when I consulted with the doctor, they said to do medial epicanthoplasty and upper canthoplasty together. When I asked if I could do my nose as well, they discouraged me, saying that because of facial asymmetry, if it got higher it would look even more crooked, and told me I’d be better off getting two-jaw surgery... Of course I refused that and proceeded with only my eyes. Haneul felt like a factory-style clinic, so on the day of surgery I was a little shocked to see the operating rooms packed tightly together, really small like cages... When I lay down on the bed, surgery was also going on in the room next door, with just one sliding door between us. And after the surgery started, I woke up in the middle, and the nurse and doctor were talking about things like what they’d have for lunch, how the director had bought land in China, and so on. Honestly, it was eye surgery with my life at stake, so I was about to tell them to please focus more, but I was afraid they might be startled by me talking as I woke from anesthesia and their hand might slip, so I just quietly received the surgery... Still, in terms of results, it wasn’t excessive, and my eyes look open and refreshed; even now, everyone I meet compliments me that my eyes are pretty. For the first few years, the scars looked like eye discharge, so I was a bit sad, but after ten years that all disappeared too! I don’t know where that director has gone now or whether he is still at Haneul, but I thank him as my second father
