I had surgery by incision 18 years ago, and now that I'm 36, my eyelids have sagged a lot, so after much thought I decided to have surgery. The distance between my eyebrows and eyes is wide, so they said an endoscopic brow/forehead lift wasn't possible, so I had a sub-brow lift, and because I wanted my eyes to look bigger, I had lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty. They said my current double-eyelid line is pretty, so I didn't have eye revision surgery, but because the eye lines were uneven, I had about two buried sutures placed at the inner front part of my left eye so the line would show more.
Ha.. I had a sub-brow lift without even knowing that the double eyelid on my right side from 18 years ago had come undone, so the effect on the right side was minimal compared with the left. Even during surgery, I heard the director say, "The right side has come undone," but since I was in the middle of surgery, I just let it pass for the time being.
Today is the 9th day after getting the stitches removed.. The scars under my brows are red.. and my eyes suddenly look bigger, making my impression look strong, so last night I almost fell into depression. From around midday today the swelling went down again, and the right line became a bit thicker, but.. since it's still an undone double eyelid, it's thinner than the left line, so that eye looks relatively smaller..
Once my eyes stabilize, I think I'll need revision surgery with buried sutures for this.
Since the horizontal length of my eyes definitely got longer.. my youthful image has disappeared.. Even though I'm 36, I often heard that I looked 28.. It's such a shame, and I want to go back..
But today my friend said, "Hey!! We're almost 40 now. Isn't it better to become sophisticated and pretty rather than youthful-looking!! What are you going to do with looking young at 40?"
That's true, but.. I'm still a bit upset..
The sub-brow lift scars are red and bumpy, my eyes are uneven, the distance between my eyebrows and eyes has gotten closer so my impression looks strong, and because my eyes got bigger from the lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty, my impression looks even more.. intense.
For now, it's only day 9.. so I'll keep watching and write another post again.
Surgery really doesn't turn out the way you imagine.. ㅜㅜ
