I won’t mention the hospital information! I want to write as trustworthy a post as possible without being suspected of being a broker, and rather than sharing hospital information, I’m writing this to share information for those who are currently considering facial contouring surgery or who are afraid of surgery.
(Day 1) First, as soon as I arrived at the hospital at 10, I washed my face, gargled, changed into a patient gown, went to the bathroom, then had an IV placed in the hospital room and waited. After saying goodbye to my parents, I went straight to the operating room.
I had emphasized the areas I wanted several times before, so I didn’t have a separate design consultation with the doctor in the consultation room. While I was lying down in the operating room, the doctor drew the design directly on my face, explaining things like, “These are the areas you want, right?”
Then the anesthesiologist came and said, “You’re going to fall asleep now~” As soon as they said that, I suddenly smelled something fragrant, felt extremely dizzy, and thought to myself, “Will I really be anesthetized?” Then about 1 second later, I went straight into a deep sleep lolololol
After that, I think someone said, “You need to wake up~!!” They said I had to walk to the hospital room myself, so I held onto my mom, and while the world was spinning, I barely managed to move and get there..
When I came to my senses a bit, I saw that I was wrapped tightly in a very thick bandage. There was also a tube inserted to drain pooled blood. Right after surgery, I had zero pain. But I was so dizzy.
Because I was dizzy, I intentionally did nothing and just stared at the clock blankly. I wanted to sit a little more upright, so I got up for a moment, but I immediately felt nauseous and threw up water as soon as I moved.
Then until I could drink water at 7:30, they said I couldn’t fall asleep. Because of the anesthesia, I was so sleepy that it was hard. More than the pain or nausea, what was hardest was being sleepy but not being allowed to sleep. It was kind of like fighting sleep during class, you know? It felt like doing that for several hours.
They said I could drink water from 7:30 p.m. and sleep from 8, so I endured it and slept straight from 8 to 9! Then they said guardians had to leave at night, so I was alone from 9, and I felt a bit anxious. But the nurse told me not to be too scared, that she was in the next room and I could call her anytime, so I felt really emotionally reassured,,,
And before the doctor went home, he stopped by the hospital room briefly, checked my condition, and told the nurse, “Please take good care of her!” Then he left, so I was grateful. The consultant also came by and encouraged me to hang in there a little longer. I was really thankful.
(Day 2) Then until 6:30 the next morning, I kept sleeping and waking up at 1-hour intervals. At dawn, both sides of my chin/jaw tip hurt so much that I called the nurse and got a painkiller injection. As for vomiting, the one time I threw up water on Day 1 was the end of it, but instead, every time I went to the bathroom, I felt so dizzy I thought I was going to die. When they put in the antibiotics, it seriously felt like I was going to throw up.
Then at 8:30 a.m., they removed the tubes and loosened the bandage a little so it was lighter. Everyone, having the tubes removed hurts quite a lot.. They don’t come out all at once, so they pull hard for a few seconds. It felt like my eyeballs were going to pop out, kind of lol I’m usually pretty good at enduring pain, so I was okay, but the nurse said even adult men usually have a hard time tolerating it.
After everything was done, around 9:30 a.m., I changed clothes, gargled, listened to various explanations, saw the consultant once more, and was discharged!
I took a taxi home, and now I’m resting after taking my medicine. The compression band is making it hurt a little, but it’s still more bearable than Day 1.
Day 1 immediately after surgery was the hardest, and I think the swelling will probably be the worst on Day 3.
My square jaw was very developed to begin with, so I have quite a lot of swelling now, but even at a glance there’s a difference, so even though it hurts, I’m satisfied ㅠ ㅠ
The nurse said that after the surgery was done, the doctor said in the operating room, “Ah, she’s become slimmer, I’m pleased,” lololol So cute,,
I’ll only know accurately once the swelling goes down, but I wanted to talk about the surgical process in detail, so I’m leaving a review for now.
