I had my first surgery in middle school (sigh) without really looking into it properly, and the doctor never once told me to bring my parents; they just went ahead with the surgery. It only left a scar from the incision above my eyes and made me look sleepy. I’ve had 3 revision surgeries, and I’m looking into a 4th.. You really have to be careful with eye surgery.
