Eye Surgery Considerations@eye-think

The Nan community review

When I went for the consultation, there were quite a few patients waiting at the hospital. The waiting time was a bit long too, but for a plastic surgery consultation, some waiting is expected, so I waited. I got a CT scan first, then had the consultation with the director. I don’t think my nose is one that absolutely needs surgery. Quite a few people around me even think I’ve had my nose done. But I wanted surgery out of a desire that it might look better if I just slightly lifted the nasal tip. But the consultation felt like the director was trying to change my nose into his own nose style. Since my nasal bridge is high, he said no silicone would be placed on the upper part, and mentioned nasal osteotomy, trimming the hump, silicone below the trimmed hump, and lifting the nasal tip with donated costal cartilage or autologous costal cartilage, covering it with ear cartilage, and because my skin is thin, placing donated dermis underneath. That’s about what I remember for now. Still, he did seem confident. After the director’s consultation ended, I consulted with the consultant. I was shocked when I saw the estimated priceㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ For a primary surgery, the initial price was over 9 million wonㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅌ After hearing the price, I said, huh? Isn’t that too expensive for a primary surgery? They said discounts would be applied here. Even with the discount, it was in the high 7 million won range, almost close to 8 million ^^ No matter how good the hospital and doctor are said to be, I found that price for a first rhinoplasty completely ridiculous. It was a hospital I went to consult at because it’s so hot these days, but if my nose were done as advised in the consultation, I thought it would look too flashy, so I passed.
