Everyone who saw me said the silicone showed through, so I replaced the silicone and had surgery with autologous costal cartilage. Because of the price, I was debating between donated costal cartilage and autologous costal cartilage, but I thought my own would still be better, so I chose autologous costal cartilage. The autologous costal cartilage was better than expected, but my face swelled a lot, so it was hard. It took more than 3 weeks for the swelling to go down. The shape now has a more natural feel than before. The best part is that I don’t hear people say the silicone shows through anymore.
