It has been 3 years since I had Candy canthoplasty on both sides. I hesitated after seeing posts from some people saying it had no effect, but I went ahead with it. It definitely has an effect, and during the process it can look as if it has gone back up if you gain weight, but unless that happens, they say there is not even a 1% chance of it going back up again (the doctor said so). In my case, I clearly saw the lowering effect, but I think it is better not to expect much of a lateral canthoplasty effect.. I had about level 2 on both sides, but it is not really lateral canthoplasty; when taking photos, the outer corners just look slightly opened so the eyes look longer, and you yourself may not notice the difference at first. The lateral canthoplasty effects are definite, though. But one side, as a side effect for me, was not naturally smooth and ended up uneven and bumpy, so I think I will need to have surgery again Please take into account the possibility of being in that minority before doing it!
