Hello. I’m writing this review to share my 6-month surgical progress and information.
My nose was low and I had a retruded chin, so my protruding mouth looked relatively more noticeable. When I went in for consultations,
my first priority was actually protruding mouth surgery.
But the cost was burdensome, and while I was thinking it over,
the doctor in charge told me that if the nose and chin were made more prominent, the protruding mouth would look relatively more recessed,
so I ended up having nose and chin surgery.
※Additionally, I went around to several places for consultations, and other hospitals were not good because they recommended even unnecessary surgeries just to make more money.
The place where I had my surgery treated me humanely, and I’m sincerely grateful.
Rhinoplasty - My nostrils were wide, and my nasal bridge between my eyebrows was so low that you could almost say I had no bridge. So I had nasal bridge augmentation and nostril reduction. Chin surgery - As shown in the photo below, I had a retruded chin. Since I was doing the front chin, I also had V-line front and side jaw surgery at the same time. I think some people may ask whether the surgery hurts.
After surgery, I didn’t really have pain, and aside from it being hard to breathe because they had put very long cotton packing in my nose, it wasn’t particularly painful. Week 1 - My face was extremely swollen, and because I had a fixation device on my nose, normal daily life was not possible.
Week 2 - The facial swelling gradually went down, and the nasal fixation device was removed, so I could go about daily life, and things gradually changed. (Compared to before surgery, my face still looked bigger, and it just didn’t feel dramatic yet.)
1~2 months - From this point, it really started changing dramatically little by little. Almost all the major swelling had gone down, and only minor swelling remained. I was satisfied with just that and always felt proud when looking in the mirror, but when the doctor in charge told me it would become even more dramatic once the minor swelling went down, I thought I had made the right decision.
Month 3 - I got a job 3 weeks after surgery, and even though I gained more than 7 kg compared to week 3, my superiors were asking why I had lost so much weight lol. That’s how dramatic it was. As my nose and chin settled into place, my protruding mouth gradually looked relatively more recessed, and people around me often told me I had become good-looking, something I had never heard before.
Now - Now even the minor swelling has all gone down, and I’m really satisfied. Whenever I meet people I know, I hear really often that my face has truly gotten smaller, and the protruding mouth that stressed me out the most also looks relatively more recessed, so I’m living with real self-satisfaction.
