* Consultation
I looked up a lot of reviews online, even reviews from ten years ago, and filtered out places that did not seem good. I went to exactly 2 places; one was a large hospital, and the other was a mid-sized hospital.
First place ㅂ He was widely rumored to be the most famous doctor and had appeared on plastic surgery broadcasts, so I had high expectations. Since it was my first consultation, I had prepared a lot of questions, but in the end I only got about 2 to 3 minutes of consultation. He seemed tired because he had consultations lined up, but maybe because he was so confident, he took one look and said, ''These eyes are easy to operate on. A thin in-out line would be good,,, " After holding the line a few times, he said, "Questions ???... If not, bye!" That was it.. My mom and I were flustered and just left. The consultant was very kind.
Second place ㅁ The consultation lasted about 30 minutes, and besides what I had planned to ask, I also asked about estimates for other plastic surgery procedures I was curious about. The atmosphere was good, and he recommended in depth a natural line that was exactly what I wanted and would not ruin the harmony of my face. I wanted a thin line with natural double eyelids like Seo Hyun-jin. The director at the hospital above also said that, but this doctor explained the surgical method more thoroughly, and I had a satisfying consultation. So I trusted him more. However, the consultation with the consultant was a bit disappointing..
After thinking it over, I chose the second hospital. Since I dug up reviews from even 10 years ago, I found some bad reviews about the first director. The consultation was also not great, so no matter how much of an expert he was, I could not trust him ..ㅠ (Everyone, once you get a consultation, search through every internet post about that director!) And another tip: when you go to a hospital, observe the staff there closely. I only went to two places, but at the first hospital, all the staff members’ faces looked similar and seemed completely overhauled. At the second hospital, at least I could still see some of each person’s own individuality (original features) in their face. Because I wanted something natural, I chose the second hospital.
I later found out that the second hospital often runs events on plastic surgery apps. But I went because of the director, so I had surgery at the regular price, not an event price.
* After surgery There really was not much swelling, but the dark bruising that appeared afterward is not going down well. It has only just been over a week, so there is still residual swelling and it looks like a small sausage. I hope it settles into my face soon. I am drinking pumpkin juice, but I think going for walks and moving around is the answer. Pumpkin juice is just for the mood.. Still, everyone says the line is pretty, and I am satisfied too.
* What I felt
I had been thinking about this double-eyelid surgery since university and only did it now, when I am almost 30. Even though it is considered a small surgery, I thought about it a lot. While preparing for this surgery, I think I watched every double-eyelid surgery review on YouTube. Seeing them, I realized this is different from double-eyelid tape or glue. It may be a small surgery, but once you do it, everything from your impression to the harmony of your face changes. In the videos, some people had pretty eyes but the harmony of their face became strange. For the first two days, I slightly regretted it too, thinking I might have harmed my gentle impression for no reason. Rather than thinking, “If I just do my eyes, I’ll become prettier,” I think it would be good to look more at the harmony of your own face and choose carefully. Whatever surgery it is, I hope you think it through very, very carefully and make a good choice.
