Review after 3 years of overbite correction

I had two teeth extracted from the upper jaw and had orthodontic treatment for 3 years. I got braces because I had an overbite? and was told it is bad for the jaw joint. They also put screws into my gums, and to correct the overbite they attached something thick behind my upper front teeth, then I wore rubber bands all day long so my lower jaw could adapt to it for 3 years ㅠ In the end the overbite was corrected, but my lower gums sank down completely...ㅠㅠ Besides the nasolabial folds, the special way you speak during orthodontic treatment got so ingrained that when people meet me for the first time and hear me talk, they ask, "Are you getting orthodontic treatment??" lol... so stressful... And once the retainer attached in the back came off, my teeth shifted right away.. For reference, if only the edge of the retainer comes off that is one thing, but if the middle part comes off, there is a high chance you will not notice because the retainers on both sides are still there..ㅋㅋ There is no choice but to periodically press it with a stick to check. And as a result, since I had two upper teeth extracted, I guess that is why my teeth do not show well when I smile ^^... It is similar to how elderly people with missing teeth have their lips sink in and look unnatural. Sigh... Looking at photos, even when I am smiling really brightly, it ends up like that.. Anyway, the conclusion is that extractions are really best avoided as much as possible!!!
