Eye Surgery Reviews

Geo review

I went here for revision surgery because the double eyelid surgery I had just before had completely failed and left my eyes uneven.

On the first day, maybe because he was having a bad day, he was extremely sharp and aggressive. But the previous plastic surgeon had been very kind, explained things in detail, even showed me a plastic surgery textbook, and still completely botched it^^ So I figured personality didn’t matter; someone with good technique was better than a smooth-talking salesperson. When I went the second time, he seemed ordinary, almost like a different person. I don’t clearly remember the thought process, but after visiting a few places I decided to go with this clinic.

But... during the second consultation, the doctor said I had an epicanthal fold and that we should also do an inner canthoplasty. I said I didn’t want it because I thought my face already looked a bit center-heavy, but he said the distance between my eyes wasn’t that small, that only a slight widening was needed, and that widening it would be much better. It wasn’t even the coordinator saying it, it was the doctor himself, and he was so certain while persuading me that I reluctantly agreed.

And the epicanthal fold is still with me now. The “completely ruined eyes” became “uneven but ordinary eyes.” Which means it wasn’t a result I was satisfied with in any way. After enough time had passed that the clinic couldn’t blame swelling anymore, I went back for a follow-up and said, “I still have the epicanthal fold.” The doctor just went, “Ah, yes, I see...”^^...ha...

I live on just thinking there’s no such thing as perfect facial symmetry, but I don’t think his surgical skill was anywhere near his own confidence or his conference activity. I sincerely hope his skills have improved a lot by now.
