My eyes have outer corners that tilt upward, and they said I couldn’t get lateral canthoplasty because there wasn’t enough space
So they recommended upper canthoplasty, and said upper canthoplasty opens the eye upward at a 45-degree angle to make the overall eye shape rounder. I understand it in theory, but I think canthoplasty is best for people whose eyes look awkward because the distance between the eyes is very wide And the overall face shape too.. If you don’t have prominent cheekbones and have a small face, it might suit you
In my case, the distance between my eyes wasn’t wide; my outer eye corners were just upturned. I did it because I wanted to look softer, but I ended up looking fiercer
In conclusion, I want to say that canthoplasty needs to take face shape into account, that you shouldn’t do it as a substitute for lateral canthoplasty.. and that canthoplasty requires careful consideration haha This is just my personal opinion~~^^
