Eye Surgery Reviews

Review of consultations for revision eye surgery in Busan..

Seomyeon [Clinic A], Seomyeon [Clinic B], Seomyeon [Clinic C]. Since early this year, I searched through a plastic-surgery app and this community for reviews and photos, chose these three places, and visited all of them. I had consultations with the doctors at all three. None of them thought my double eyelids had completely disappeared; they said my eyes were already pretty enough and advised against revision surgery, saying further work would be excessive. I probably will not have revision surgery for now.

Here is my consultation review.

1. [Clinic A]

I consulted with a female doctor. Like the other reviews said, she listened to and respected my opinion first, explained several possible surgical methods, and recommended the best option. She examined me very carefully and clearly told me what could not be done, which I liked. I had so many questions that I think I asked for over 30 minutes, but she explained everything kindly. If I had been having my first surgery, I probably would have chosen this clinic. She said she could do buried-suture or incisional surgery if I really wanted it, but clearly warned me that the result would not turn out the way I wanted, which I appreciated.. T_T

The consultation manager was also kind, and the price seemed reasonable..?

2. [Clinic B]

I went for a consultation, but the doctor finished in five minutes. I felt that he may have treated me rather perfunctorily.. The consultation with the manager also took five minutes, and I left. I guess this clinic was not a good fit for me haha.

3. [Clinic C]

I first spoke with the consultation manager and then saw the doctor. The manager did not seem to be the particularly warm and gentle type, and when I asked questions, she sometimes just said, “Uh…” But she was not the doctor, so I did not really care about that. The doctor explained everything I wanted to know, including possible side effects.

Here, I consulted about lower-eyelid fat repositioning rather than double-eyelid surgery. The doctor carefully examined the shape of my dark circles, the fat, and the thickness of my skin, then explained the surgical method and each point in detail. She also asked whether I had any other questions and encouraged me to ask more, which was nice lol.

If this had been my first-surgery clinic, I think I would have wanted to go here too. I heard that the doctor only operates on eyes and does not perform any other procedures, so I liked that.

If anyone is considering revision or first-time surgery, try consulting the female doctor at [Clinic A] or visiting [Clinic C]. Both doctors explain things well and clearly tell you not to proceed with what cannot be done, which I really appreciated. If you are worried about eye surgery, I recommend consulting at these two places.

In the end, I went there only to hear that I did not need double-eyelid revision surgery at all.. They said my eyelids had already settled attractively, and that further work would only leave scars on my eyes. Because the distance between my facial bones, eyes, and eyebrows is narrow, this is the best possible result, and they both complimented me, saying my eyes are already large and pretty…

Instead, they told me to look into lower-eyelid fat repositioning soon and have it done if I wanted..^^

I did consult both [Clinic A] and [Clinic C] about lower-eyelid fat repositioning, but perhaps because I had never considered it before, I went in knowing very little. I could not ask many questions and just listened to a rough explanation.

Since I am asking anyway, could you recommend a clinic in Busan that is good at lower-eyelid fat repositioning…^^ haha
