It’s a private clinic, and the director seems to be at an age with a lot of surgical experience. After consulting with the head coordinator, I had a consultation with the director, where they took photos and looked at them together while discussing.
I went in because of correction for double canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty, and the surgical methods are divided into a full incision method, which makes an incision from about halfway under the eye to the outer corner to correct it, and a partial incision method, which opens only the back part slightly in a triangle shape. The price also differs by more than 1 million KRW, with the full incision being more expensive.
They said the lower eyelid plate is sunk in and curled inward, so we should proceed by lifting the outer corner through double canthoplasty correction while also releasing the lower canthoplasty area. I still need to find out whether they also release adhesions. One eye has severe white-eye showing, and they asked whether I would only reconstruct one side, but I told them the side with more severe white-eye would also have the lower canthoplasty released. It seems this hospital does not have a separate lower canthoplasty correction, but rather double canthoplasty correction plus lower canthoplasty correction together.
They explained things while looking at case photos and cut off unnecessary questions on their own. During the consultation, they asked whether I wanted to use my original eye shape or make it a little longer than that, and also explained the direction of the surgery, but at first it felt a bit like being scolded..
The director has a very firm style and seems to have a lot of experience, so it felt trustworthy.
There is a 10,000 KRW consultation fee, and since I would have to wait more than 5 months if I wanted a revision surgery, I filtered out the unnecessary parts and booked a second consultation for 5 months later. I’ll post another review after that consultation.
Still, just being told at least during the consultation that it can be done made me feel a little relieved.
