Had surgery more than 10 years ago. I had surgery with an ENT specialist who was there at the time (now opened their own clinic and left). I had a lot of everyday discomfort related to my nose, such as rhinitis, so I wanted surgery that was natural and did not compromise nasal function rather than an excessive operation. The operating director at the time also pursued a natural look, and since my original nasal bridge height and shape were on the decent side, the doctor recommended not touching the nasal bridge, but because of my own greed, I had surgery with 2 mm Silitex on the nasal bridge and donated costal cartilage for the nasal tip There were some parts of the shape I was slightly dissatisfied with, but over the 10 years after surgery, the swelling and shape changed little by little, and the line became slimmer. Personally, I came to like the shape more and more, but because of the material characteristics involving silicone, calcification developed, so I’m now considering revision surgery or removal. The hospital was generally kind, and the operating doctor was also kind, but if I did it again, I don’t think I would choose a factory-style hospital where doctors change often and there is less accountability.
