The timing worked out, so I was able to book a consultation, and I think I went and came back very well. The hospital was bright and clean, and after a simple check-in, I was guided straight to the doctor. The doctor spoke quietly and calmly. I wanted to know first and foremost whether it was contracture, and if it was contracture, whether there was inflammation, so I asked why he thought it was contracture. After hearing my reason, he had me sit in a chair, took a few photos, then examined me while I was lying down, explained things using the photos he took, and showed me photos of other contracture cases while saying it was not contracture (I instinctively said thank you with both hands clasped). For the nose, it would be silicone. The bridge of the nose should be made natural. For a slight lowering, use ear cartilage, and if the skin feels thin, use autologous dermis or donor dermis. For sleep anesthesia, I moved during a sedated endoscopy, so he said then an anesthesia specialist would come and do total intravenous anesthesia. I liked that he explained things kindly and showed me the expected post-op photos. I was so glad it wasn’t contracture. He said surgery wasn’t urgent and to take my time. The manager was just average; after hearing the surgery-related explanation, I felt glad I came for a consultation.
