When I went for the consultation, I was even considering lower blepharoplasty, but the director said under-eye fat repositioning and fat grafting would probably be enough to see good results, so I went ahead with that.
I thought the dark areas like dark circles could also be treated with under-eye fat repositioning, but that turned out to be a different surgery. They harvested fat from my thigh area and did fat grafting, and for 3-4 days after surgery, because of the swelling and bruising, it was hard to tell exactly how much effect there was. But from day 5? as the swelling and bruising went down, it became really obvious that the area had gotten brighter! I really think under-eye fat is a huge reason people look older. Even now, every time I look in the mirror, it feels fascinating. Does it get a bit brighter as more time passes?
