I got a lot of help from other people's reviews, so I'm writing this hoping it will be at least a little helpful too. It was my first nose surgery, and because I thought about it really a lot, I spent a long time researching online and visiting clinics, and in the end I chose Migo. Reasons for choosing it 1. Safety-first approach (over 20 years in one location doing only nose surgery, anesthesiologist on site, CCTV viewing available) 2. I felt like they could turn my masculine-looking hump nose into a slightly small and cute nose
As a result, my satisfaction is about 60-70%. To be honest, I didn't get a good impression from the director during the consultation. There was actually another clinic that gave a more detailed and kind consultation. But before and after surgery, the director becomes very gentle;; And I felt they reflected the patient's needs as much as possible. When choosing a nose surgery clinic, the doctor's skill is important, but the doctor's own aesthetic sense doesn't change no matter how much you emphasize things, so I was worried I might end up with Migo's characteristic slightly upturned nose. So I wrote down what I wanted in great detail with photos and brought it, and the things I requested really came out exactly as asked!! Even people who know a lot about noses said they couldn't tell my nose was done at Migo, and that it didn't seem like the Migo style, with the columella generously present, the nostrils not showing much, and the nasolabial angle coming out small and well? done. What made me feel the director is truly safety-first was that at first they said we should use septal cartilage, but after surgery only ear cartilage had been used. When I asked later, they said my septal cartilage was smaller and weaker than expected, and since I have many years ahead of me, they did not use it.
The reasons I'm dissatisfied are not the director's fault.. Communication with the manager was good too, and when I expressed disappointment about the shape, they said we could talk again about revision within 2 years at the 6-month follow-up check. If I had known they would reflect my requests this well and operate this conservatively, I think I would have followed the initial plan and done osteotomy too, and been a bit more ambitious. It's extremely natural to the point that everyone who sees me doesn't know I had surgery. That's quite sad.. When I look at the before-and-after photos, I can tell something changed, but there wasn't much of an appearance upgrade I recommend it for people who really want only their flaws improved without it being noticeable.
Future plans I'm firmly in the no-implant camp, so if I get revision, I'm thinking of getting additional osteotomy and using autologous costal cartilage. I was told that if more ear cartilage is harvested and placed on top, it could droop more, so I'm planning to use rib cartilage, thinking of it as the last time. (Haven't discussed it yet) Because I was fairly satisfied with the director's technique and aftercare, I think I would do the revision here too.. It didn't change dramatically and not everything was perfect and great, but the issues I worried about most, like functional problems, inflammation, uneven nostrils, a pinched nose, etc... there isn't anything wrong, so I'm considering that fortunate. If I do get revision, I just hope the result won't be bad then either...
