I’m someone who has no experience with plastic surgery yet. I don’t have a complex about my appearance, but for improvement from a cosmetic standpoint, I was considering eye and nose surgery, and I was in the middle of visiting mainly hospitals that are well known for male plastic surgery.
Compared with my reservation time, I arrived about 10 minutes late, but the waiting time was neither particularly long nor short.
There weren’t many clients waiting in the lobby, and personally, I liked this from the moment I entered.
Most of the places I had gone for consultations had many people waiting in the lobby, and at the longest, I once waited about an hour just for the consultation. The funny thing is that the actual consultation with the director wasn’t even 5 minutes.
Anyway, at JAYJUN, the consultation order was consultant – director – consultant. Before the director came in, the consultant explained things overall.
The director’s basic attitude was a little different from other places. He explained things thoroughly, but above all, his words and behavior had manners built into them.
For the eyes, he showed me several different lines and gave me options, and he seems to be the type to adjust things in the direction the patient wants. (He said I could also choose whichever surgical method I wanted, between non-incisional and partial incision...)
For the nose, since I haven’t taken a CT scan yet, we excluded the functional aspects and I only had a consultation about the cosmetic aspects.
Because I still had filler remaining in my nose, we decided to check again on the day of surgery, and I was able to hear explanations about the broad framework, such as the materials to be used and the surgical direction.
Come to think of it, at other hospitals, the routine was always to take a CT before the consultation, but it seems JAYJUN takes the CT on the day of surgery. I think this has pros and cons from the patient’s standpoint too.
As an advantage, if you’re not only getting a consultation at one place, taking a CT every time is a hassle, so it was good because I could save time. (Since I had already had several consultations, it was also a bit bothersome.)
As a disadvantage, from the standpoint of a patient who has not decided on surgery, I think it may be that you can’t receive the consultation while looking at the CT results. (If this is your first consultation hospital, it might feel a bit disappointing?)
The cost is also on the reasonable side. Even if the cost is expensive, I personally don’t care much as long as the result comes out well, but even in terms of cost, compared with other hospitals, it definitely wasn’t a loss.
The director’s consultation ended very slightly rushed toward the end, perhaps because he had the next surgery scheduled, but I had heard all the important explanations, so it didn’t matter.
After the director’s consultation, the consultant organized the information for me. She also gave a comprehensive explanation about safety and CCTV disclosure, and here too, I felt a slight difference from other hospitals.
She clearly explained specifically how long CCTV can be viewed, and also about surrogate surgery and pay doctors, and there hadn’t been any place that explained these things first to this extent. (Actually, things like surrogate surgery are a bit awkward for the patient to ask about directly first.)
Overall, if you’re going around for consultations, I think it’s definitely a good enough hospital to visit.
