After a brief consultation with the consultation manager, I consulted with the director again and received pricing info from the manager. I consulted with Director Kim Jun-young, and the wait was about 5-10 minutes.
At first, they recommended a forehead lift and incisional double eyelid surgery with eye-opening correction. They said I seem to use my forehead to open my eyes and my eye-opening strength is weak, so eye-opening correction also seemed necessary.
A forehead lift was something I had never even considered, and I also felt burdened by jumping straight to an incision surgery for the first one,
so I asked whether buried sutures alone wouldn’t work. They said it was possible, but there was a chance it could loosen. Then they felt around the bone at the outer lower corner of my eye and said it was an eye that would attach all the way even if done, so they didn’t recommend it. The director was kind and shaped the line well. They recommended natural adhesion eye-opening correction and a forehead lift, but said I should do that if I had the budget and that they would note it in my chart.
While talking to the manager, they strongly, strongly recommended the forehead lift.. They said if I wasn’t going to get a forehead lift, then their hospital wasn’t a good fit for me lol So when I told them that the doctor had said to do it if I had the budget, they explained the price again only for natural adhesion eye-opening correction. They were kind, but it felt very much like kindness + sales pitch. Maybe it’s like that everywhere.. The price was okay, with 1 year of aftercare. The doctor was also okay .. For now I put down a 100,000 won deposit, and they said it could be canceled if I contact them 2 weeks in advance. But I didn’t feel strongly drawn to it.
