Summary: The director was kind, but I was dissatisfied with the surgical result and later had revision surgery.
I had my first double eyelid surgery with an incisional method, but a long scar remained, and over time the line seemed to become buried, so I had revision surgery at Luho. Since it was revision surgery, I did quite a bit of online searching and read many Gangnam Unni reviews before receiving surgery from Director Park Il. He kindly consulted with me, saying that while he could not remove all of the scar, he would excise as much as possible, address the areas I was worried about, and create a line that was not too thin, so I paid the deposit right away and had surgery.
The surgical results were: 1. The asymmetry of my original lines did not improve + after the first surgery, the inner corner of one eye was puffy and covered the eyelash roots, but that did not improve either... 2. I had been aware that the long scar remaining at the outer corner of the eye would be difficult to excise, but a new depressed scar formed in the middle part of the line, and on one eye, perhaps because it is an atrophic scar, the double eyelid line is clearly visible even when I close my eyes. 3. The area below the double eyelid line is puffy and looks sausage-like until just before my eyes close... + when light shines from above, a step-like height difference forms on the eye, so anyone can tell I had double eyelid surgery.
I wondered if it would get better with time, so I saw the director after 1 year had passed, but he only said the surgery went well, and if the scar bothered me, I should get laser treatment, then gave me the business card of another hospital. Laser did not have much effect either, and I spent over 5 million won on scar treatment alone over 3 years, but it did not improve meaningfully... Recently, I had a second revision double eyelid surgery at another hospital.
Looking at reviews, it seems people with thin eyelids + first-time surgery get pretty results, but seeing surgery evaluations saying lower scars/sausage eyelids/step-like height differences occurred, it seems I wasn’t the only one...
For people like me whose eyes and eyebrows are close together and who have sunken eyes, and for people who need to consider scars because it is revision surgery, I think you should look more into hospitals specializing in second revisions or difficult eye cases... I don’t know whether the director’s surgical completeness is as high as his recognition...
