Eye Surgery Considerations

Noh Jong-hoon review

First of all, the doctor and nurses are unfriendly. Especially the operating room nurse, quite a lot. Unlike what you see in reviews of other hospitals, there is none of that “the director reassured me in the operating room right before anesthesia.” I didn’t even get to see the director’s face until I was put under anesthesia and closed my eyes lol. According to my guardian, the director went into the operating room and came out when the surgery was over, so I don’t think it was proxy surgery... but from the standpoint of paying several million won and having bone shaved, I wasn’t very satisfied.

I was hospitalized for one day, and the on-duty nurse was the kindest. The rest are all similar, and the operating room nurse is really unfriendly. They mixed in casual speech here and there. The only time you meet the operating room nurse in the first place is right after surgery, and as everyone knows, right after facial contouring surgery is really hard. If you’re treated like that at that time, you feel quite miserable, and you start feeling extremely bad, wondering whether you spent your money and time for this.

The consultant who handled my consultation was nowhere to be seen from the day of surgery onward. I heard other hospitals send check-in texts or doctor calls after surgery, but there’s nothing like that here. Even when you go in for progress checks, you can see the doctor for about 3 seconds, and if you try to ask any questions, they act very annoyed. Paying 6.5 million won in cash and receiving this kind of treatment is quite an experience.

The surgery seems to have gone well, but it hasn’t even been a month yet, so I can’t say for sure. There are minor side effects, but they’re things everyone gets after facial contouring, so I don’t think it’s due to the doctor’s skill. I think these may also disappear with time. I’ll know accurately once all the swelling goes down.

Honestly... there are so many good plastic surgery clinics and kind plastic surgery clinics in the world, so I don’t particularly want to recommend this place. Even one star feels wasted for staff kindness, but I was so grateful to the on-duty nurse that I at least gave two..
