Eye Surgery Considerations

Noh Jong-hoon review

Hello, I'm leaving a consultation review for facial contouring, facial fat, and midface volume. The director kindly provided the consultation, and when I explained the face I wanted and the concerns I had, he explained the surgical plan accordingly. First, my concerns were a retruded chin and a wide-looking impression.

For the chin, he said there was no particular need to lengthen it, and recommended doing a T-osteotomy to slightly refine the width and shape of the chin, advancing it by 5-6 mm, and then refining the secondary angles after advancement.

He said I did not need cheekbone surgery.

If I selectively wanted a slimmer line, he said the square jaw creates a frame on both sides, which can make the face look wide, so he selectively recommended square jaw surgery, masseter muscle resection, and cortical bone resection.

I also asked about facial fat and midface volume. He said the area with a lot of fat was not the buccal fat pad area, so buccal fat removal was unnecessary, and recommended Venus laser and liposuction for liposuction of the double chin and cheek areas.

For midface volume, he said that if I have square jaw surgery, the cortical bone that is resected could be grafted to add volume. If I do not have square jaw surgery, surgery could be done with fat grafting or an implant. I also asked about the pros and cons of each, and he answered that using my own bone would look the most natural.
