My side profile used to be really pretty, but because of the nose, my upper lip was pulled up and protruding too. Once it was removed, the expression around my eyes immediately went back to how it used to be.... thankfully><The artificial dermis that was inside (the director said they put a small one in the glabella, but it was insanely thick and long)><The Megaderm artificial dermis that was removed><It looks like cartilage is sticking out inside the nose>I wish I had found this place before getting nose surgery. It's really unfortunate that I only found it while searching after the surgery.
I had nose surgery before, back in 2012, and my nose was already high to begin with. Back then, I asked them to do the osteotomy and only the tip, but the doctor again put in silicone however he wanted, so I had that removed.
After that, I just lived feeling satisfied with it, and my nose wasn't especially pretty, but it wasn't ugly either, so I just lived with it.
But from the side, when I looked from the right, the tip didn't seem droopy, but from the left, the tip looked a little droopy, and I also had severe rhinitis, so I decided to do the rhinitis surgery together with cosmetic work.
The consultation was definitely very kind, and they showed me simulations too, and explained everything with real confidence, and even showed before-and-after photos, so I trusted them.
So on 5/8 I had deviated septum surgery / sinusitis / nasal valve reconstruction / and one more procedure, and I asked them to just redo the tip a little, so it wouldn't show and would look natural, and so that when seen from the left, only the tip wouldn't look droopy.
But one week after the nose surgery, when I removed the splint and had the stitches taken out, I saw that it was extremely high. At first I thought it was swelling..
I deliberately attached the photos in order: before surgery, the botched result, after removal, and so on.
At two weeks, once the swelling had gone down a bit, it really looked too strange, so I told the consultation manager I was worried and that this didn't seem right. I had surgery before, and at two weeks the lines usually show, but I said the bridge was way too high and looked like a giraffe, and she immediately snapped and treated me like a difficult patient or something. While gesturing with her hand, she said it was only 2 mm and there was almost no difference, as if my concerns were nothing and not worth taking seriously. If it had been her own face, she'd better not act like that. It looked absolutely ridiculous.
Fine, I thought maybe it could still be swelling at two weeks, so I put up with that rude attitude from the consultation manager. But after a month, it looked even stranger. Once the swelling went down, it looked even weirder... As you can see in the third photo, that wasn't swelling. The swelling had fully gone down, and the glabella was so high that it looked like a man's nose. My original nose was already high, so even putting in just 1 mm changes the impression, and they put in 2 mm, so my eyes looked too close together and my overall expression became so harsh... My eyes were round before, but now they looked long??? It was really me, but also not me.. It was so strange....
I was under so much stress that I couldn't sleep, felt like I was going to get depressed, and I was even getting to the point of social anxiety. It had been a month since surgery, and I was still going out wearing a mask. Can you believe that??????
Even after my first botched nose surgery, I had gone to work two weeks later lol seriously.....
When I went to the hospital and told them, another consultation manager looked at it too and must have thought it wasn't right, so she told the doctor and set up a doctor consultation for me.
Consultation for bridge removal! When I consulted with the doctor, he had messed up the surgery himself but didn't say even one word of apology. He had put in the bridge I told him not to put in, but didn't mention that at all. I was speaking calmly and hadn't even gotten angry, but that doctor, while barely holding back his anger, said right in front of the patient that people like me don't understand when spoken to normally, and started talking down to me what a disgusting character... I felt like his aura was too scary. He didn't seem like a normal person....
He just said to schedule the surgery date.
He said he couldn't remove the bridge without open surgery, and that what was inserted now was only a small artificial dermis in the glabella area, so he would have to open it and look while doing it. He talked almost like a threat, saying I could get contracture and all sorts of things.
Then he got angry at the manager and told her to make sure the consent form was signed properly.
The manager came out and said that to schedule the surgery date, I had to bring my seal and family register copy???
I was speechless. After surgery here, I felt like my nose might disappear.
I looked into removal at another hospital and on June 4, I paid 1.3 million won out of pocket to have it removed without open surgery ㅡㅡ
But when I had it removed, it turned out to look like 2-3 mm, and it was very long and big. Didn’t they say it only went into the glabella a little bit..?? They even lied that blatantly.... They have no conscience. It cost money, but I’m glad I had it done at another hospital.
My boyfriend at the time said they did that because you looked easy to push around, and that I should have caused a scene and demanded a refund. Maybe I should have done that.
And after that, every time I went for a consultation, I wondered what was bothering them, but instead of using the glass consultation room, they would take me into a sealed ENT treatment room and close the door for the consultation??? That was also ridiculous
Anyway, the removal went well, but only the nose tip is extremely big. I really spent money on surgery, suffered emotionally, and almost got a mental illness. When they said it looked like swelling and I asked for a swelling shot after a month, they said that wasn't possible either. They said this wasn't possible, that wasn't possible. They messed up the surgery themselves, and everything was impossible swear words just come out. Crazy people. I’m even more angry because of that female consultation manager.
And from the moment the stitches were removed one week after the nose surgery, there was a big pimple-like bump on the right inner side of my nose, so I wondered what it was, but the manager said it wasn't cartilage.
Today I looked and saw it protruding in a straight line from the inside, and it seems like cartilage. Wow, I'm so angry, from start to finish. What a trash hospital. They ruined my face and wasted my money. Honestly, even before surgery, it was a face that didn't need surgery. I regret it so much now. Isn't this clearly grounds for a refund?????? Honestly, I don't even want everything back, but I at least want the director to acknowledge the mistake or apologize. That attitude made me even angrier...
I'm scared to have any revision surgery there because I don't know what they might do to my face. I'm so angry..... I really do understand how people who had their faces ruined by plastic surgery feel. It must be really hard and painful.. I've been wanting to write this for a while, and today I set aside time to write it.
If anyone has advice about refunds or related help, I'll be waiting for comments.
