This is a plastic surgery clinic run by a director who is famous on YouTube. I was also worried about surgery for a receding chin, and I learned about it through YouTube. I got a CT scan, had a non-face-to-face consultation, and even did an online Q&A, and they answered everything even though I asked all sorts of questions. So personally, I was satisfied with the consultation itself.
What I’m still torn about regarding surgery for a receding chin is whether PMMA implants or chin advancement surgery would suit me better. Although chin advancement surgery has become widely established as a successful procedure and is performed often, this clinic has a tendency to avoid a pointed chin caused by chin advancement surgery. In other words, they argue that a natural line should be achieved through an implant. So they directly pointed out pointed chins caused by chin advancement and even showed the process of reoperating on patients who had undergone chin advancement using implants, and from my perspective that process looked fine too.
However, there are also clinics that oppose implants. They present views about the risk of inflammation from implants and that implants can actually look unnatural, and they even post chin advancement surgery cases directly on their blogs. So I also looked at those photos of chin advancement, and those seemed fine too. In the end, from my perspective, I have to conclude that both implants and chin advancement can work, but I wonder why the two sides are so opposed to each other. (I’m not naming names, but anyone who has skimmed their blog posts would understand how they rebut each other’s claims..) It’s possible there are things I couldn’t catch from the photos, or that one side is only presenting the good results to mislead people.
I guess unless it’s a firsthand review from someone... without trying it myself, I’ll probably never know which method is more correct. (Maybe both are right without much difference.)
