I couldn’t do an in-person consultation because the schedule didn’t match, so I paid 50,000 won for an online consultation. (If I decide to go ahead with surgery after the online consultation, I have to have one more in-person consultation with Dr. Baek before surgery, which means paying another 50,000 won.) After waiting about three weeks, I received a video about five minutes long. It was a video where Dr. Baek answered the list of questions I had prepared in advance, based on the CT scan taken at the hospital, and it was better than I expected. The conclusion was that Dr. Baek told me I should not think about bone surgery anymore. He said it wouldn’t bring much effect, and if I did it, my cheeks would sag and it would be a disaster. The online consultation itself was satisfying, and the 50,000 won didn’t feel wasted. But the kindness of the reception staff and the counseling manager doesn’t even come close to half of the doctor’s reputation. I think the service of the reception staff who answer the phone needs improvement.
