Eye Surgery Reviews@eye-review

Not "My Liberation Notes," but "My Plastic Surgery Notes"

Before writing this, I honestly never had any thought, not even later on, of getting consultations at more than 10 places. I’ll write down my mom’s consultation order for sagging middle-aged eyes.

<Lovelyan> No overtreatment from the director. The consultant was super kind. Recommended upper blepharoplasty.

<Kim Hyung-jin, Director Kim Kang-won> The director was super kind with no overtreatment. Recommended upper blepharoplasty + ptosis correction.

<Objet, Director Kim Hyun-jo> Both the director and consultant were kind. Recommended upper blepharoplasty + ptosis correction.

<Sketch> The director and consultant were the kindest. Recommended upper blepharoplasty.

<Sinsa L> The consultant wasn’t as kind compared with other hospitals, and the director was the same. But he was confident, and after seeing the upper blepharoplasty surgery photos, he really seemed good. I was recommended upper blepharoplasty with fat removal. I wanted ptosis correction, but he did not recommend it. Also, the price was expensive compared with other hospitals, so we decided to get more consultations.

<Sisun> They said upper blepharoplasty would look unnatural and recommended a brow lift and fat grafting for hollow eyes. (They said they would also do upper blepharoplasty together if we wanted.) The director spoke confidently, so I was going to do it here, but after looking at reviews, it’s famous, yet since it’s a solo-director clinic and he seems too busy, the recommendations versus non-recommendations were about 6:4, so I’m still thinking.

<Jel> I went without much expectation, but the director’s explanation was the best. Like Sisun, he strongly did not recommend upper blepharoplasty alone. Brow lift + fat grafting for hollow eyes + endoscopic forehead lift later if desired. I liked it the most and was going to choose this place, but there were too many negative recommendations compared with premium reviews, so I gave up. Also, my mom is scared of forehead lift, so we’re not planning to do it.

We were just going to do brow lift + fat grafting, but after searching, I saw that brow lifts can droop again after about 2 years and can leave scars under the eyebrows, so we decided to go clinic-hunting again ㅠ

<One Pick> The director explained in detail for a long time. Did not recommend upper blepharoplasty alone. Recommended brow lift + upper blepharoplasty + fat repositioning above the eyes. Because it involved several procedures, the price was substantial, but as long as my mom’s eyes become pretty, it doesn’t matter. The reputation is okay and the director was kind, so I’m considering it as one of the surgery hospitals.

<Iris> I went because the reviews for middle-aged eyes were so good in the cafe. The director consulted comfortably, like family, and did not recommend multiple procedures, only a sub-brow lift. When I mentioned fat grafting for hollow eyes, he said to do the brows first and then do it later if needed, so I was surprised by how conscientious he was. My mom is scared of doing several procedures, and because they comfortably recommended only one thing, she wants to decide on this place. But the building is a bit old and the director is older, so I’m wondering whether he might lack the latest techniques. (Please forgive me for having these worries despite the director’s characterㅠ)

<Dasipium> A hospital specializing in lifting. The director was completely kind, and the consultant was also super kind. They did not recommend upper blepharoplasty alone and recommended brow lift + upper blepharoplasty + fat repositioning above the eyes. The event price was the best, and I also liked the director’s explanation. But they opened last year, and he said he had been at Apex for 5 years before, but Apex isn’t famous either, so I’m worried ㅠ

<Igram> I visited because the reviews in the cafe were so good. The director did not recommend upper blepharoplasty because it looks unnatural, and said a brow lift alone would have no effect, so an endoscopic forehead lift should be done together. (But the important thing is that they said this place does not have forehead-lift equipment.) Seeing him recommend even a surgery that is difficult to do at his own hospital made me realize he had 1000% sincerity, and at the same time I felt devastated. The surgery my mom least wanted was a forehead lift, but he recommended that, so in the end we were back to square one. I got consultations at more than 10 places, but in the end I couldn’t reach a complete conclusion. The world really doesn’t go the way you think...

For reference, the reason I looked into it this much is that long ago, when I had eye surgery, I saw just one review photo in a cafe and got double eyelid surgery at a not-famous private clinic after a trustworthy consultation with the doctor, but it came undone 3 times and I got a refund. So I searched in a cafe and went to a large hospital, but before surgery I couldn’t even see the director and consulted with the consultant, and the surgical method from the consultant’s consultation and the director’s surgical method were different, so it was completely ruined. So no matter how trustworthy the director seems during the consultation, I can’t trust it, and if the result is bad at a large hospital and you complain, they just take a “do whatever you want” attitude...

Anyway, for almost two months I searched over a hundred hospitals and got so stressed that I couldn’t sleep and was completely drained, so I decided not to get any more consultations. My mom wants her eyes not to change too much, so first we’ll do a sub-brow lift, and if needed, we’ll do upper blepharoplasty or a forehead lift. Doing them separately will cost several million won more, but because I personally experienced that once you get surgery, you can’t turn back, we decided that way. I’m deciding among Dasipium, One Pick, Iris, and Sisun. How was it for everyone here who had surgery there? And after a brow lift, would it be okay to clinic-hunt and have upper blepharoplasty or a forehead lift at a different hospital?

Thank you for reading this long post, and thank you for the advice. I sincerely hope everyone here becomes prettier as much as you work hard going to consultations!!
