There were Southeast Asian people waiting, and a Southeast Asian person came out after surgery. There was even a Southeast Asian staff member, so that was surprising. The consultant felt like a typical non-professional consultant at a factory-style clinic. I specifically requested Director ㅇㅁㅊ for the consultation, and I had high expectations after reading reviews, but they grabbed my eyes, head, eyebrows, and forehead so firmly, lifted my eyelids up and down... I was flustered. It felt like I wasn’t being treated considerately. I’d always been gentle even when doing eye makeup because I’d heard that even applying eye makeup too strongly can stretch the skin... Honestly, because of that, I couldn’t even really hear the explanation afterward. They used a dialect and spoke quickly, so it was hard to understand what they were saying. They did explain diligently, so I could follow it, but it felt like they were trying too hard to persuade me, which made me feel a bit resistant. It felt like they thought I absolutely did not want ptosis correction or epicanthoplasty and were trying really hard to persuade me. Almost all the reviews seemed to be about those procedures too... so I had expected it. They didn’t even ask what kind of eyes I wanted. They just looked at what the consultant had written down in a row and said things like, “Non-incisional won’t work,” and “Why don’t you want epicanthoplasty?” When they said the previous surgery must originally have been large but had come down, I said, “No, it was natural from the beginning,” and they looked like they had nothing to say. I was flustered at that part. They explained a lot that ptosis correction does not always make the eyes look wide-eyed... I should have said, “Doctor, have you tried it yourself?”... From the perspective of someone who has had it, until it started loosening, my eyes pretty much did look wide-open… Anyway, whether it becomes overcorrection or not is not something you can trust just by listening to the doctor before surgery, so if I could avoid ptosis correction, I wanted to avoid it. They said it was an extreme example while showing an extreme eye shape as an explanation, and I thought people getting their first surgery would completely believe that explanation. I went to several clinics, but from beginning to end, this one was the place where I felt the worst. I thought it was just me, but after looking into it, it seems that in consultation reviews, many people were actually told that when their eyebrows were lifted, there wasn’t much fat above the eyes and there was a lot at the outer ends of the eyes, so fat repositioning was recommended.
