I had incisional double eyelid surgery in 2017. For consultations, I think I went to a local clinic recommended by an acquaintance and somewhere like ㅇㅇㄹㅅ, which was famous for revision surgery ㅜ Since it was my first surgery, I went without thinking much, without really going around for consultations or looking things up. First of all, I had the surgery at a local plastic surgery clinic in Hwagok-dong that my acquaintance recommended. Part of it was that I insisted on making the crease higher than the line they recommended, but right after the double eyelid surgery, the right side felt so loose that it already seemed like it had come undone. But back then I didn’t even know what that meant, and I wondered, is it normally like this? Right after surgery things look strange, you know? So I was afraid it would get even worse and just left it alone haha.. And within a few months, my right eye came undone, and now the right side has completely come undone (monolid). My left eye didn’t come undone and settled, but the eye itself has sagged a lot.. It’s not only because of the double eyelid surgery; I used double eyelid glue a lot originally too. So I don’t feel wronged about that, but the ptosis correction was really awful haha,, Opening my eyes still wasn’t comfortable after the double eyelid surgery, and I opened them with my forehead. I did ask about it afterward, but they only said they would do it one more time, and I felt that if I had surgery again it would just leave scars, so I didn’t do it. The anesthesia was local anesthesia, and it didn’t hurt for me. Instead, I couldn’t move for over an hour, heard the sound of flesh being cut, smelled burning, and my throat was so dry. That was the only part that was really hard; it didn’t hurt. And with an incision, either way, a scar does remain. Now you have to look very closely to see it,, but still, the drawn line doesn’t disappear,,, The most important thing is going around for consultations and creating a double eyelid that suits your own eyes. My story > Even if you want glamorous eyes and bring photos of celebrities, your eye shape itself is different from that celebrity’s, your skin is different, everything is different, so I think the most important thing is surgery that is adjusted to fit my own eyes... haha
