Back when I knew nothing, right after the college entrance exam, while I was drunk on the post-exam high... I decided to get eye surgery with no real thought, mainly because I wanted to make the most of the exam discount.
I narrowed it down to about 4 or 5 clinics using the site that seemed easiest to find information on, and chose the clinic that I thought gave the most reasonable price and the most detailed explanation. I went ahead with incision + ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty, and...
For the first year after surgery, I was really happy. First of all, I had really severe ptosis originally, and when I opened my eyes, my field of vision widened at an angle I had never experienced in my life, which felt amazing lol. I feel like I also propped my forehead and opened my eyes probably hundreds of times alone in my room lol. To be honest, the surgery did not turn out horribly. The crease is pretty and natural(there are still people who do not realize I had double eyelid surgery until I tell them), and the swelling went down fairly quickly too. But... the asymmetry....ㅠㅠ
For about a month right after surgery, the unevenness was hardly noticeable, but it seems to get worse as time passesㅠㅠ If I look at the left and right sides separately, both are reasonably satisfying on their own, but one side has a thicker(meaning a bit greasy) line and the other has a thin, crisp line, so... even when drawing eyeliner, I have to be super careful...ㅋㅋㅋ
It is not urgent right now, but I think I will probably go for a revision surgery at some point laterㅠㅠ It feels like I wrote more than necessary, but that is it.
