I had a consultation for nose removal and revision surgery.
I'd heard the director gives off a sloth-like vibe, and that was exactly true. Instead, he explained things slowly and in detail. He consults professionally by case and never says things like "this is definitely better" or "that is better." (Although he did say once that for cosmetic purposes, a silicone implant is better.)
The surgery cost was reasonable. The manager also gave me the price and schedule in a straightforward, neat way, so I was satisfied.
I'm planning to get one more consultation before deciding.
======================== Surgery review I was going to have the silicone removed, but ended up doing a simple replacement instead. To make the tip of the nose pretty, it has to be done open (using septal cartilage), but because I was hesitant about open surgery and additional manipulation of the nose, I chose a simple replacement (closed).
They took pre-op photos and did a thorough consultation. The surgery took 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes. There was no special disinfection before anesthesia, and I assume they did it after anesthesia. I was surprised by how much bruising and swelling there was, but the issues I wanted fixed (silicone showing through, crooked insertion) were improved, so I'm happy. After spending some time in the recovery room, I had a post-op consultation with the director, got instructions at the front desk, received my prescription, and left.
Since it was closed surgery, they said I didn't need follow-up visits. They only taped it, and said I could come in to remove it after 3 to 4 days or remove it myself at home.
I'm not usually very concerned about hospital facilities, but the person who came with me was surprised by the building and the facilities. It may vary by person, but to me it's clean. (It doesn't feel luxurious or upscale. It's not a particularly large place.)
