For two-jaw surgery here, especially if you do not have a dish-shaped face, please seriously go around for consultations carefully and make sure to visit other places too. My face is not quite dish-shaped, but it lacks volume, so after receiving my very first consultation here, I thought I had the kind of face that absolutely needed maxillary advancement. When I was young, I had orthodontic treatment for protrusive mouth, and the protrusive feeling was resolved to some extent, but I am considering surgery because of a long face + retruded chin impression.
Other hospital directors said that for someone like me, my maxilla protrudes an appropriate amount, and that if I advance and rotate it here, I would end up looking monkey-like, and my retruded chin would become even worse, so the image improvement I want would absolutely not happen.
Maybe because the director seemed to take a lot of pride in reducing the joint width (horizontal width), I wasn’t sure whether people who had surgery for a long face got good improvement in their long face… And when I simply looked at the photos, the aesthetic sense didn’t match mine, so I passed.
