My trust dropped because they conducted the consultation without even taking a CT scan. The consultant talked as if CT scans were just showmanship.. But when I showed the CT scan I had taken elsewhere and explained my side-effect situation, she told me to show this to the doctor while explaining it. They said they proceed without taking a CT scan even before surgery.
The waiting times in between were so, so long that I ended up reading a book by myself while waiting. The doctor presented a plan in a mechanical tone, with a nuance that it was no big deal.
The consultant’s energy was too high, which felt burdensome, and the doctor looked too tired, so it was hard to ask questions. The consultant praised the doctor, saying the doctor is responsible and has a strong sense of duty, but as I kept listening, the way they said everything was possible made me trust them less and less.
Decisively, other places had said my septal cartilage was small and would be difficult to use, but here they said my septal cartilage looked large, so they would build the nasal tip with septal cartilage. I also thought it was strange that they could see the septal cartilage without even looking at a CT scan.
It gave off a factory-like feel, and because the doctor seemed insincere, I ultimately decided not to do it because I did not want to entrust my nose to them.
