Based on consultations from last year Doctor in charge: Director Kim Da-alm Performs surgery 2-3 times a day (10:30 a.m., 2 p.m.) A style that explains the surgery in detail and speaks kindly. Assessment of my nose: short nose, bulbous nose, slightly upturned nose, narrow glabella, low glabella, skin on the thicker side, a difficult nose. Surgical direction: custom silicone for the nasal bridge, septal cartilage and posterior auricular cartilage for the nasal tip. Bulbous nose correction (scraping out a little fatty tissue), short nose correction, and columella correction. No osteotomy. They said that although I definitely do have some bony framework, this can be addressed with custom silicone by making the silicone fit the bone. They said silicone would be good for frontal improvement, mentioned about 2-3 mm, and planned to place it starting from the midpoint of the black pupil. Because my glabella is narrow, they said too much silicone should not be placed between the eyebrows. They said there is no particular need to lift the alar rims, and that it can be resolved just by raising the nasal tip and projecting the columella. They said my nose is quite crooked. They said surgery needs to be done carefully with attention to height and width. Since the septal cartilage is not large, they said they would remove only a little and use it just like adding support to the nasal tip, and that they would shape the columella line using ear cartilage. Surgical materials: ear cartilage (one side), septal cartilage (not large), custom silicone / no donated costal cartilage. Overall impression: The doctor’s aesthetic sense seemed similar to mine, and it felt like they disliked overly artificial and high noses. The hospital facilities felt luxurious and clean, so they seemed very good. The consultant was kind, but there was a businesslike feeling. Consultation conclusion: The hospital consultation itself was good. However, after going around to other hospitals for consultations, I ended up having the surgery at another hospital.
