I usually had a negative view of autologous costal cartilage, so I wanted to avoid it if possible, but most of the places I visited for revision surgery consultations recommended autologous costal cartilage, so I really had a lot of concerns.. In the end, I decided because I developed trust during the consultation with Director Kang Min-gyu, whom I saw after a friend’s recommendation. Before the consultation, I wanted to know Director Kang’s style, so I looked up some reviews, and it seemed like Director Kang had a lot of surgical experience using autologous costal cartilage! Because of that, I thought I would be able to learn in detail about the things I was curious about regarding autologous costal cartilage, so I prepared thoroughly and went in. Wow.. Since the director really knew what parts patients worry about, even before I asked questions, he explained things clearly one by one on his own, so the consultation was really good! Above all, scarring, recovery period, and pain were the three things I was most worried about, but Director Kang tends to perform the incision itself as a minimal incision, so there is less bleeding, and pain and recovery time are also on the shorter side. For scarring as well, the clinic has its own aftercare, so I felt I could receive careful management, and that’s why I decided.
