I had a consultation for revision epicanthoplasty restoration. There was no consultation fee, and maybe because it was peak season, there were many people and some waiting. Including the consultation time, it took about an hour and a half, and the consultation was kind and thorough. In my case, after epicanthoplasty, the space between my eyes looked narrow, so I had restoration done at another hospital, but it didn’t improve and only left scars, so I was looking into revision restoration. My goals were improving the intercanthal distance and removing the scars. They explained in detail how the current shape of the inner corners of my eyes and the intercanthal distance could be improved, and to what extent scar removal would be possible. I received quotes for axis rotation and epicanthoplasty restoration, and they said I could choose whichever direction I wanted between the two. It was my first time hearing the term axis rotation, and they said it involves doing restoration and upper epicanthoplasty at the same time, improving fierce-looking eyes and reducing changes in eye size. Since an additional canthoplasty is involved, there was quite a price difference between the two procedures, but they did not pressure me into the more expensive surgery, and there was no pressure to confirm a reservation either. It was good that they talked through the questions I would have as someone getting surgery from various angles, and it was also good that they told me in advance about things like the anesthesia method and surgery time. Since this is revision restoration, I plan to go to more consultations, but so far this place has had the highest consultation satisfaction.
