I came in for a consultation about revision surgery because the tip of my nose had drooped after my first surgery. I had to wait quite a while, but it was okay. The director’s consultation was thorough, but when I felt like the time was running long, it was a bit off-putting that I felt like I was being ushered out. Still, there were other people waiting, and I had already asked everything I wanted, so it was fine. But they said they might reuse my existing material and that they would use donated rib cartilage, and it was so expensive that I don’t think I’ll go through with the surgery. I originally came thinking about autologous rib cartilage anyway, so it doesn’t feel like the direction is right for me.
