My first surgery was done without an implant, using septal cartilage for the tip, and in the end there was really no change at all, so I had a revision at Siwoo with silicone in the bridge and autologous costal cartilage in the tip, and it has been about a year.
In the end, the bridge was fine, but the tip didn’t rise much at all, so it was stressful. There was a difference before and after, but it wasn’t dramatic, so it was disappointing given how much the cost burden was.
I was told during consultations that my nose was small and couldn’t be raised very much.. And after surgery, the director said the adhesions were very severe, so the surgery took much longer than expected and the rib cartilage was also small, they said I can’t guarantee I would have been satisfied even if I had gone somewhere else, so I just live with it, but I feel disappointed every time I look in the mirror The manager is so pretty and kind, I like that And overall it felt professional, which was nice I think the doctor is skilled too!! From the middle to later part of the surgery I was conscious, and they kept trying different silicone thicknesses to see which fit best, saying things like this one seems better.. and so on.. I also liked that they kept taking photos during the operation and then explained after the surgery how it had progressed, how severe the adhesions were, and what it looked like after they were released After surgery, the autologous rib pain was much worse than I expected, so the first 1-2 weeks were hard. My scar was about 4-5 cm, and I managed it with patches or similar, but it didn’t fade much and is still clearly visible.. Of course it makes sense, but for about half a year after surgery, as the swelling gradually goes down, the tip of the nose becomes clearly lower than it was at first, so I’m writing this so you’ll know
